[ Everything about the Fairy King should be considered objectively better. It's why he always goes out as him, it's a lie that makes dealing with others easier. He could probably keep that lie up until the day he dies if he so wished.
But for some reason, whenever he was around Ai and only Ai, he found himself unable to stand staying like this. As if her lies on their own were so unbearable to him that he couldn't keep the act up.
Though, with that said, things are different right now. ]
